When you read a word that ends with the letters -le you put the accent on the first part of the word (say it stronger), like the word turtle. The e at the end of the word is silent – you don’t hear it; you just hear the /l/ sound. Listen for /l/ sound at the end of these words and notice that each word ends in -le.
